Welcome to LIFE 2022,
The annual conference of the Lebanese Fertility Society.
I welcome you all to witness this resurrection of the phoenix few miles away from the ashes of Beirut port and harbor.
In Greek mythology, the phoenix dies in a show of flames and combustion before being born again even stronger.
Our phoenix rose again after 3 years of fear, disease and virtual communication. Despite all, we kept growing, reaching out for you through our webinars and other social media tools. However, nothing compares to face to face meetings. In the coming two years, our mission shall be to strengthen the society and expand its scope to include a wider group of practitioners and scientists, set a more active role in local and regional medical education and more robust presence in setting standards of reproductive medicine in Lebanon and the the region. We shall try our best, despite everything, to advance learning, evidence based clinical practice and to develop quality standards in patient care.
On behalf of the LFS board, I wish to express our excitement to welcome you all to this 2 days’ event under the auspice of his excellency the Minister of Public Health.
Special thanks to our supporting sponsors who have beautifully stood by us in order to make this event come true. Let us all welcome our imminent speakers and guests who have come to share their knowledge with us. I would also like to welcome the Middle East Fertility Society which is starting a new cooperation with our society as well as the Lebanese urology and endocrinology societies.
