Dear Colleagues and Friends, The Psychology Unit at Notre Dame Des Secours University Hospital (CHU-NDS) in collaboration with the French Society of Psycho-oncology and the Hematology Oncology Department, Neurology Department and the Psychiatry Department at CHU-NDS, has the pleasure to announce the Patient Assistance & Care Excellence Congress (PACE 2019) entitled ‘’Palliative Care‘’ “PACE 2019” will highlight the importance of palliative care in patients with life threatening diseases such as cancer and multiple sclerosis. It will focus on the holistic care that should be given by a multidisciplinary team to the patients and their families including physical, emotional, social and spiritual care. Dr Sarah Dauchy, President of the French Society of Psycho-Oncology, from Gustave Roussy, Dr Francoise Ellien from the French Society of Psycho-oncology and distinguished speakers will facilitate the discussions. It will include five specialized workshops, tailor-made to answer the palliative care multidisciplinary team’s needs. Therefore, we strongly encourage all palliative care experts and healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, psychologists…) to take part of these workshops for a one of a kind interactive learning experience.
