DR. ABDALLAH RAHBANI

Dr. Abdallah Rahbani is a professor of Neurology specialized in adult and Pediatric Epileptology and clinical Neurophysiology. He is currently the chair of the Neurology Division at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Medical Sciences, and chair of the Neurology Division at Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui – UMC, Lebanon. Dr. Rahbani is also a lecturer at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, and at the Faculty of Sciences - Lebanese University, as well as a clinical practitioner at the Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital. Dr. Rahbani had many publications in the eld of neurology and epilepsy and had contributed largely to several local and international conferences. In addition to his work on the novel benet of oral perampanel in the treatment of status epilepticus and the role of dedicated MRI in the diagnosis of focal epilepsies, his most recent work was on prevalence of pharmacoresistance in BECTS and prognostic values of interictal patterns in Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. As past member of the “Neurology Drugs Committee” at the MOPH, he worked on updating the latest version of the national neurology drugs guidelines, following the latest international guidelines and recommendations.
