The Hematology-Oncology Department at Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center, in collaboration with the Lebanese Society of Medical Oncology, has the pleasure to announce the abc Oncology Educational Course 2016.
This course represents a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals (medical doctors, fellows and pharmacists) to discuss in depth with oncology experts, cancer optimal care. It also focuses on the daily challenges that oncology practitioners face in providing cancer therapy. I would like to invite you to actively participate in these scientific events. abc Oncology Educational Courses 2015 Overview

The 2015 “abc in oncology educational course” was conducted in 4 sessions held on February 6th at Shams Al-Assil restaurant; April 3rd and November 14th at Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center and on December 5th at Four Points by Sheraton Le Verdun. The topics covered were Lung and ENT Cancers, Colorectal Cancer, Breast Cancer and Kidney and Prostate Cancers. Sessions were conducted over half days and gathered more than 50 participants each. 27 distinguished speakers animated the discussion and shared their expertise in the field, making every session a scientific hit. The topics focused mainly on multidisciplinary approaches, new modalities of diagnosis, updated disease treatment and side effect management. Diagnostic imaging, targeted therapies, surgical approaches and tailored management according to disease stages were the hottest topics discussed in all sessions. Prof. Fadi Farhat, course coordinator, animated the debates.
